Barking Cow Farms is a family owned farm. We have owned animals for as long as I can remember. We had a small farm in Bear Creek Al for several years where we had horses, cows, & dogs. We then moved to our big 250 acre farm in Brilliant AL in 2014. That is when we started adding more types of animals to our addiction. We added several types of birds, chickens, sheep, goats, different kinds of cows, pigs, and Llamas. Then in 2019 is when we decided we wanted to start sharing our love for animals with the public. So we added a few more animals and some exotics. We have buffalo, zebra, camels, kangaroos, emus, and many more! We started out just doing mobile events with the intentions of eventually being able to have a location we have open to the public. In July of 2022 we decided we were tired of searching for land to buy to build on so we decided we would just use the property we have!! We started breaking ground for the new barn the beginning of august 2022, we built all new fences, a new barn, a playground, a pond, planted pumpkins all in 6 weeks! We opened for our first annual pumpkin patch on October 1st!!! Now our plans are to continue to grow and better serve our customers!! We have so many fun ideas to add and to share with yall. My dream growing up was to be able to own a petting zoo where families could come enjoy their time with eachother at a clean safe place and get to do hands on experiences with the animals! I want everyone to come out and be able to truly enjoy their day with us!!
